Hi,
I can not agree with you. Since computers let children play games with violent scenes it has become disatrous device of XXI century. Death and blood in the computer screen does not look bad. It can make childern accept it. Don't you think that some games should be withdrawn from the market? :confused:Should the government control the computer games market ? Should parents trust the authors of computer games? How can it be organised? Do you personally have any ideas? Idea cheers

You have right that the games is very bad for young people... But the blood in some games you can switch off ;].. The most of parents don't look what their childs buys in shops...
In most games on their packaging there is special sticker .. please see this page:

http://pl.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pan_European_Game_Information

or this:

http://www.pegi.info/en/

This is for European players. Everyone can see what this sticker mean...

But I heard that the QUAKE it is increase our reflex ;]...
The scientists make small test. They invinted 20 old peoples and they plays quake. The result is very surprisingly. These people has increase reflex about 30% !!! lol!

Thank you for very useful info. I agree with you that parents should control what their children buy and play. Of course playing computer games has also advantages not only drawbacks. But it should be limited in some way. farao

as it was already said here, blood effect can be switched off...but thats not the question, parents are the ones who should look for their kids....my parents always gave me alot of games, cause they wanted to know what i play.

I totally agree with you. Parents should encourage kids to play games. This is their role: to choose and control. Very Happy When kids become older, they will choose themselves but it depends on parents what kind of games they start playing. bounce
Parents should influence their musical tastes, interstes etc. Then parents' time passes and the kids become teenagers and decide themselves. This is life. Sometimes brutal but inspiring for both parents and kids. Idea

i dont think kids should only like what parents do....my parents always told me what was "good" but i have my tastes....of course i listened to them, but when we grow up our tastes changes alot and always different from our parents
