It was in 80s when I and my husband, a just married couple, decided to buy our first computer for money we collected during our wedding . Now, it is difficult to imagine how disappointed our parents were , when instead of a new washing machine they saw ZX – 81.
We were students of Technical University of Gdansk and were very proud of this purchase . My husband was crazy about computers and soon afterwards we bought ZX- Spectrum. It was a real challenge to manage with recording the data.
Now, we have some computers at home. My husband’s one is the newest , bought with different applications which support him during his work as an engineer. My computer is some years old. Fortunatelly I have a good monitor. And our daughter has her own. All of us can not imagine the world without the access to the internet. It happens that we send messages via communicators to each other even at home. A real digital age

Do your parents have simmilar memories?
Do your grandparents like computers? If yes, which applications do they use mostly?

My grandparents just don't know what a computer is....

My parents bought a computer almost 10 years ago only because I and my sister told them it could be useful for school.

Have you ever tried to teach ICT ? Have you ever tried to convince your grandparent and parents to use a computer?

I hate trying to explain how a computer works.

Also, the less they use it, the more I can use it, right?
